The task
VicOne is an automotive cybersecurity specialist and a Trend Micro company. It had the technical expertise the market respects, but it lacked visibility in three key markets: the DACH region, Japan and the US.
The goal was to introduce VicOne to the key media in all three markets and to establish the company as an important thought leader in automotive cybersecurity.
Our approach
Working across all three markets from one shared strategy, GlobalCom PR Network built a programme around thought leadership, local execution and expert positioning.
Key activities
- Thought leadership: tailored messaging and topic-driven content, and strong, lasting relationships with the key automotive and cybersecurity editors and publications.
- Local execution: creating, localising, distributing and pitching press releases, media alerts and contributed articles, covering industry topics, product launches, partnerships, awards, events and trade reports.
- Expert positioning: positioning VicOne spokespeople as recognised experts and supporting the overall brand positioning.
Results
- From newcomer to thought leader within two and a half years.
- Supported VicOne’s entry into the automotive cybersecurity market across all three regions.
- Secured quality coverage, media briefings and commentary in leading trade and business titles, including Elektronik Automotive, Hanser Automotive, Nikkan Jidosha Shimbun, Automotive News, Forbes and Help Net Security.
